Yes, I’ve heard these criticisms. But overall I think he’s smart and right about most things. although I’ll admit I don’t know that much about politics and I’m smart enough not to get too deep into political discussions. Especially with people like you, who are into it. 😉

For me, the message of this video is that people are awesome if they are physically vigorous and/or attractive or if they display some kind of extraordinary or risky skill or physical activity.
It communicates immediately that the vast majority of people in the world are not awesome. And that includes me. I no longer have the juicy buttocks of 18 and even if I did, I am not so sure I would want the attention of lewd old men salivating over my image as they try to raise that flagging libido. I guarantee you that the second the young studs see the wrinkles on my forehead, they no longer find me awesome. I don’t ski death defying slopes, and I don’t jump over cliffs. Never have. Never will. I fricking hate sports, always have. But I can write poetry and sing songs that will leave you speechless with emotion.
I am one of the stupid people who thought that choosing an ideology mattered. I am one of the stupid people who thought that tending to my own fucked up behavior could make a difference. I am one of the stupid people who thought that there could be such a thing as truthful group, living with principles that could bring prosperity and hope and compassion to all, not just to the entitled few seeking to aggrandize their own awesomeness.
I feel thoroughly bashed these days. I was once proud of my own efforts to make and create something a little better in the world. I thought any effort in that direction was awesome. The result of participating in these blogs is that I no longer have any pride in what I worked towards for most of my life. Only disgust remains. And sadly, I don’t have my entire physical life ahead of me now. And even if I did, I am not so sure I would spend it learning to kick box or lift weights.
If you could make a camera that accurately captured a person’s ‘theta glow’ that would be news worthy and worth it. Photos of people would look like Eastern Orthodox icons.
Well Chris could you post a photo of one glowing like that? Or is your camera adequate to the task? Maybe you and Geir could develop a bosonic camera that will capture that glow…..
In fact I have it on good authority those guys glowing in the icons had been drinking some kind of special wine…..
So perhaps exteriorization by chemical means is not that original…… but having a camera that could capture it would be special.
