Scientology Drama

The world is going down a “dwindling spiral”. Society is corrupt, immoral and irrational. Psychiatry is on its relentless quest to destroy civilization by drugging every adult and child to obedient zombies. Mankind needs to be saved, and the only hope is Scientology. The whole agonized future of this planet, every man, woman and child on it, and your own destiny for the next endless trillions of years depend on what you do here and now with and in Scientology. This is a deadly serious activity. And if we miss getting out of the trap now, we may never again have another chance. Remember, this is our first chance to do so in all the endless trillions of years of the past.

This is the true Scientology attitude. And with this attitude, no wonder life gets serious, grim and tense. And no wonder there is so much drama among scientologists. Everything gets serious. To Kirsty Alley. To scientologists in the church as they disconnect from any and all that might, potentially criticize their strongly held beliefs and cognitive dissona.nce. It is deadly serious to scientologists who carry the torch outside the church.

I have experienced being in the crossfire of some silly drama on scientology-related forums and mailing lists. And recently in e-mail exchanges back-stage. The irony is that people armed with supposedly the best tools known to Man for handling social relations manage to entangle themselves in more drama than you can shake a stick at.

Scientologists need a new course – a requirement for practicing Scientology. The title of that course would be “Chillax – handling drama by not giving a flying shit”.

Or learn to practice hugology.

  1. “We’re not playing some minor game in Scientology. It isn’t cute or something to do for lack of something better.

    “Do them and we’ll win.”

    How can you chillax when you have a cult to run?

  2. Yes, it is quite a trick to engage in something important while maintaining a carefree attitude. Institutional Scn has not managed that in the slightest.

    1. Excerpt from the poem “If” – by Rudyard Kipling:
      .

      “…If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

      If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

      If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

      And treat those two impostors just the same;

      If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

      Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

      Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

      And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools;

      …Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

      And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!”

        1. Here you go, Geir, the full poem, “If” —

          “If you can keep your head when all about you

          Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

          If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

          But make allowance for their doubting too;

          If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

          Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

          Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,

          And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
          .

          “If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

          If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

          If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

          And treat those two impostors just the same;

          If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

          Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

          Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

          And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
          .

          “If you can make one heap of all your winnings

          And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

          And lose, and start again at your beginnings

          And never breathe a word about your loss;

          If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

          To serve your turn long after they are gone,

          And so hold on when there is nothing in you

          Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
          .

          “If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

          Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,

          If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

          If all men count with you, but none too much;

          If you can fill the unforgiving minute

          With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

          Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

          And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!”

  3. Well yeah, theoretically, the direction this planet is headed, through the control of “The Only Actively Dumb Species” TOADS is pretty grim, to say the least.

    Duh, er, um…. last time I checked, we are just ONE of a huge number of species of organisms, all of which depend on an a delicate balance of symbiotic eco – systems for survival.

    Atmosphere, temperature, seasons, ozone, sustainability of all essential life giving bio activity, IS being threatened and decimated, as we read and write this stuff on our screens.

    Woe is me/you/us all? Perhaps. Where is the greed, the lust for power, “owning” the planets resources? Where is it located?

    Mmm. those who got it, kudos to you.

    Pity is, the arguments over where, how, why, what, when, if, we TOADS can/should do “anything” about IT?

    Duh, um, just my, um, er, frog kicks in the pond. 🙂

      1. Thanks, Sis’ … and yes of course, I ‘get’ you …. I was just being ultra sarcastic .. sometimes that gets through. 🙂

  4. Write your own way to happiness, one precept, Geirs’ golden rule – Don’t Give a Shit. Then print some copies and drop them over Gaza.

      1. It’s funny to note that even after writing about “letting go” extensively for more than a year now, some seems to make an effort to misunderstand it.

        It is not about “not giving a shit” about other people. This concept of “letting go”, “giving a fuck”/”So what?” is about You letting go of Your hang-ups, your misemotions, fears, losses, shame, blame, regret and other life hick-ups. It is a personal attitude of freedom.

        1. ..when one is letting go of struggling, one finds oneself relaxed
          and at the same time very engaged being and doing in the
          moment…
          perhaps this gives further help

        2. Perhaps rather easy to misunderstand given the above post (and others) but, if that’s all you’re saying then I very much agree!

          1. That is all I’m saying and have been saying for a long time. I believe the difficulty in understanding this may lie in the tendency of focusing on a process, method or tool rather than the deisred outcome. Like the desire to promote Scientology rather than what it is supposed to produce. And by focusing on the desired outcome, one can open up a whole vista of different approaches and then Scientology fades into the background and the desired goal for each person – and tailoring the approach to each person comes to the fore. And instead of having to go the very long detour up a Bridge to finally be able to “let go”, some people can actually “let go” without all that contraption. Especially when they are not sold on “the fact” that they need an elaborate system, millions of words and thousands of scientific looking procedures to just chill. Looking this simply at it, Scientology seems like the most elaborate scheme to entrap a person. Given Marty’s latest blog post this becomes very clear.

            1. Yeah I agree some people can do as Alan Watts said and ‘just knock it off’. And of course Scientology has lots of stuff people could well do without.

        1. Or, as my friend Ron once said, there are two types of people:

          “The research results you would be interested in show clearly that there are two types of behavior—that calculated to be constructive and that calculated to be disastrous.

          “These are the two dominant behavior patterns. There are people then who are trying to build things up and others who are trying to tear things down.”
          (HCO Information Letter of 2 APRIL 1914 “Two Types of People”) http://www.suppressiveperson.org/sp/archives/214
          .

          And I do not dispute that you, Geir, are one of those who are trying to build things up. (Me too. 😉 )

            1. There’s nothing wrong with this “personal attitude of freedom,” Nothing at all. In fact, I think it’s great. I just don’t see that it’s workable for a lot of people; whereas, you seem to put across that it is. And therefore, we just disagree.

            2. I only have my personal experience with it. You have said numerous times that you consider that to be sufficient evidence. You haven’t even tried it, so what do you bar your disagreement on?

        2. As Karl popper said:

          “Always remember that it is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood: there will always be some who misunderstand you.”

          And Franz Kafka said:

          “The right understanding of any matter and a misunderstanding of the same matter do not wholly exclude each other.”

    1. The Beauty speaketh from within her love-filled heart!

      Thank you Sis’ 🙂

      L, Ray.

  5. Have you seen the movie “Madagascar”? At the end a boat is sailing away and the head penguin tells his goodfellas

    “Smile and wave boys, smile and wave!”

    That’s what you do with Scientologists dumping their fucked-up emotions on the world: smile, wave, be nice …

    … and get on with life.

  6. “Chillax – handling drama by not giving a flying shit”. Or some sort of hugology through the internet.
    Good stuff! Tho it would deprive some of the excitement they crave. Not saying I don’t like a little at times to break up any boredom, as needed. Geir’s posts are always stimulating.

  7. Dave Miscavige credits Tom Cruise with introducing a billion people to Scientology and thus he gave him the Medal of Freedom.
    Tony Ortega credits Tom Cruise with inviting the media to scrutinize Scientology resulting in an enormous PR fiasco for by scrutinizing Scientology, its crimes are floating to the surface. It seems that 10x OSA could not keep up with the liability suits, insurance fraud suits, and wrongful death suits flooding the church now,
    In essence, Tom Cruise as Scientology’s greatest promotional tool by successfully promoting Scientology has become Scientology’s greatest liability. click here for video
