I have experienced being in the crossfire of some silly drama on scientology-related forums and mailing lists. And recently in e-mail exchanges back-stage. The irony is that people armed with supposedly the best tools known to Man for handling social relations manage to entangle themselves in more drama than you can shake a stick at.
Scientologists need a new course – a requirement for practicing Scientology. The title of that course would be “Chillax – handling drama by not giving a flying shit”.
Or learn to practice hugology.

Well yeah, theoretically, the direction this planet is headed, through the control of “The Only Actively Dumb Species” TOADS is pretty grim, to say the least.
Duh, er, um…. last time I checked, we are just ONE of a huge number of species of organisms, all of which depend on an a delicate balance of symbiotic eco – systems for survival.
Atmosphere, temperature, seasons, ozone, sustainability of all essential life giving bio activity, IS being threatened and decimated, as we read and write this stuff on our screens.
Woe is me/you/us all? Perhaps. Where is the greed, the lust for power, “owning” the planets resources? Where is it located?

It’s funny to note that even after writing about “letting go” extensively for more than a year now, some seems to make an effort to misunderstand it.
It is not about “not giving a shit” about other people. This concept of “letting go”, “giving a fuck”/”So what?” is about You letting go of Your hang-ups, your misemotions, fears, losses, shame, blame, regret and other life hick-ups. It is a personal attitude of freedom.

Perhaps rather easy to misunderstand given the above post (and others) but, if that’s all you’re saying then I very much agree!
That is all I’m saying and have been saying for a long time. I believe the difficulty in understanding this may lie in the tendency of focusing on a process, method or tool rather than the deisred outcome. Like the desire to promote Scientology rather than what it is supposed to produce. And by focusing on the desired outcome, one can open up a whole vista of different approaches and then Scientology fades into the background and the desired goal for each person – and tailoring the approach to each person comes to the fore. And instead of having to go the very long detour up a Bridge to finally be able to “let go”, some people can actually “let go” without all that contraption. Especially when they are not sold on “the fact” that they need an elaborate system, millions of words and thousands of scientific looking procedures to just chill. Looking this simply at it, Scientology seems like the most elaborate scheme to entrap a person. Given Marty’s latest blog post this becomes very clear.
Yeah I agree some people can do as Alan Watts said and ‘just knock it off’. And of course Scientology has lots of stuff people could well do without.

There’s nothing wrong with this “personal attitude of freedom,” Nothing at all. In fact, I think it’s great. I just don’t see that it’s workable for a lot of people; whereas, you seem to put across that it is. And therefore, we just disagree.
I only have my personal experience with it. You have said numerous times that you consider that to be sufficient evidence. You haven’t even tried it, so what do you bar your disagreement on?
